We make every towel as if it were for our own child.

It all started at bath time.

Our little girl had very sensitive skin, and ordinary towels felt rough on it. We wanted something much softer, almost velvety: a towel that soaks up the water on its own, so there's no need to rub. You just pat gently.

We also wanted something little ones would love to wear, so that getting out of the bath would turn into a game. That's how the hood came about: it keeps a little head warm on chilly days and helps dry wet hair. And the towel stays on by itself, without you holding it, so you've got a hand free.

Since then, we've made nothing but hooded towels and washcloths for babies and children. We'd rather do one thing and do it really well. We've put so much of ourselves into our designs, and over time many of them have gone on to inspire quite a few other makers. Year after year we keep refining them, and we're not done yet.
